It was really easy to find a good name for our casa vacanze. From the terrace, you have an amazing view on the Ionian sea and with clear weather you can also see the Calabrian coast. From the other side, you have an amazing view on the top of Etna. Often with smoke coming out of it of, or even lava! Since we enjoy this view so much, we decided to call our house 'BellaVista', which is Italian for pretty view.
The house is located in Zafferana Etnea, a small town on the east side of Sicily and really close to the vulcano. It's the town where I grew up and spend many years of my life.
